EVEN AFTER THE DOG HAD GONE AFTER THE DEPUTY HE TRIED
TO FEND IT OFF WITH A COLLAPSIBLE BATON LIKE THIS
IT DIDN'T WORK AND SMITH OPENED FIRE AFTER HE WAS
KNOCKED TO THE GROUND.
BRADLEY BECK/ DOG'S OWNER

EARLIER THIS WEEK SOMEONE SPOTTED BRADLEY BECK STUMBLING
AROUND HIS GREEN ACRES NEIGHBORHOOD AND CALLED THE
OZZIE KNEZOVICH/SPOKANE SHERIFF 24;05 they locate
the individual, he's highly intoxicated deputies give
him a ride home, courtesy ride home at that point
he goes into the house, that call's over.
BUT THE NEXT DAY THE NEIGHBOR FINDS BECKS KEYS AND
COWBOY HAT AND TAKES HIM TO THE VALLEY PRECINCT.
DEPUTY SMITH, WHO'S WORKING THE FRONT DESK, TRIES
TO CALL BECK ON THE PHONE.
OZZIE KNEZOVICH 24;41 the deputy tries to get a hold
beck, can't get a hold of him by phone, figures i'll
just run this out to him to save them a trip to police
AND THAT'S HOW DEPUTY SMITH ENDED UP IS CASH'S FRONT
AFTER USING HIS SIREN TO GET THE OWNER'S ATTENTION,
SMITH WALKS PAST SEVERAL SIGNS WARNING VISITORS TO
BEWARE OF DOG.
