SOT/ SHOSHANA KUHFELDT- Neighbor @:01-:06
I'm feeling it for them and he's not even mine.
I was devestated all day yesterday.
THE KOOTENAI COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE SAYS THE BOY
AND ANOTHER CHILD WERE UNSUPERVISED AND WERE PLAYING
WITH A HANDGUN.
IT'S UNCLEAR WHICH CHILD WAS HOLDING THE GUN WHEN
BUT IT SENT THE BULLET INTO THE SEVEN-YEAR-OLD'S HEAD.
SOT/ SARAH LEE- Family Friend @:13-:27
It was just an accident.
The parents were sleeping and two curious young boys
saw the gun and decided to play with it and unfortunately
one little boy got hurt and is now in the hospital.
SARAH LEE IS A FRIEND OF THE INJURED BOY'S FAMILY.
SHE SAYS THE FAMILY IS IN THE PROCESS OF MOVING AND
IT'S LIKELY THE GUN WAS BEING PACKED AWAY.
SOT/ SARAH LEE- Family Friend @:39-:46
They're very, very protective of the kids and I know
that they wouldn't just leave it out.
NEIGHBORS AGREE WITH LEE.
SOT/ SHOSHANA KUHFELDT- Neighbor @:59-:07
You can't always keep everything away from kids.
I mean they could have went into the kitchen and got
a knife from the drawer and said 'hey, let's play.'
TONIGHT THE BOY REMAINS IN SACRED HEART HOSPITAL.
LEE SAYS THAT THE FAMILY IS STAYING THERE WITH HIM.
WITH HIGH HOPES THAT THEY'LL BE ABLE TO BRING HIM
SOT/ SARAH LEE- Family Friend @:05-:10
He's stable but still in critical condition, so we
need all the prayers we can get right now.
