ENJOY A LOCAL CRAFT BEER AND HELP CLEAN UP THE SPOKANE
THAT'S THE MESSAGE FROM A GROWING PARTNERSHIP HERE
JOHN HENDRICKS SHOWS US THE INTERESTING WAY RIVER
CITY BREWING AND THE SPOKANE RIVER KEEPER ARE TEAMING
A WALK ALONG THE SPOKANE RIVER YOU SEE THE BEAUTY
BUT IT'S NOT HARD TO FIND CANS AND OTHER TRASH ALONG
We have a lot of issues with the Spokane River, theres
legacy polution, current ongoing polution, there's
land use issues that impact water quality.
BUT SPOKANE RIVERKEEPER BART Mihailovich IS HOPING
TO CHANGE THAT WITH BEER.
River City Brewing
It's a bigger hoppy IPA.
It's 6.5 percent alchohol and it's 77IBU or international
THE NON PROFIT HAS TEAMED UP WITH RIVER CITY BREWING
TO RAISE MONEY TO HELP CLEAN UP AND EDUCATE PEOPLE
ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF THE RIVER.
The river is what and why we are here, it's what the
city founded upon and it maintians and remains the
most important thing we have in this community.
We added it almost at the the very end of the brew,
we added 12lbs of hops all at once and we also double
dry hopped it.
IT'S BREWED WITH MILLENIUM HOPS.
TO GIVE IT THAT NORTHWEST I-P-A TASTE.
NOT TOO HOPPY AND A LITTLE BIT OF ZEST.
A PORTION OF THE PROCEEDS WILL GO TO THE RIVERKEEPER.
THE PARTNERSHIP HOPING MORE PEOPLE WILL RAISE A PINT.
TO HELP PROTECT THE RIVER.
I think the river keeper one of those hidden helpful
organizations that a lot of people don't actually
realize that they are out there being so active and
helping so many people
Partnerships like this really help push us further
than we could have ever imagined going before.
