But first, breaking news ... North of spokane....
In the seven mile area.
Kxly4's ian cull is at the scene where a body was
pulled from the spokane river just an hour ago.
He joins us by phone.... Sheriff's deputies have
been on the scene since this afternoon?
The homeowner tells us his wife went outside and noticed
what first looked like a log was washed up against
their dock...after more investigation he confirmed
it was a body...so he called 9-1-1 at 4;45 this afternoon.
Spokane county sheriffs deputies arrived and verified
it was a male body that was badly decomposed. The
search and rescue dive team responded, and used their
boat to help retrieve the body from the water. The
sheriffs air one helicopter was also in the area and
lit up the dock as night fell. The medical examiner
is now on scene. They will take the body back to their
office and try to identify the man. So right now,
it's unclear how he died. We also asked if they know
of any missing person this could be, and they didn't
know...saying at this point it's completely up to
the medical examiner. Nadine.
