TODAY THE NEW PROVIDENCE MEDICAL PARK IN SPOKANE VALLEY
OPENED IT'S DOORS SO THE COMMUNITY COULD LOOK AT THE
NEW FACILITY THAT TOOK ALMOST TWO YEARS TO BUILD.
KXLY 4'S CAITI CURREY IS WORKING FOR YOU TONGIHT WITH
MORE DETAILS ON THE NEW FACILITY.
AARON- PROVIDENCE IS CALLING THIS NEW FACILITY A ONE
IT OFFERS NEARLY EVERYTHING A PATIENT MAY NEED IN
INCLUDING ONE THING MANY PEOPLE WERE BUZZING ABOUT
THE NEW 44 MILLION DOLLAR PROVIDENCE MEDICAL PARK.
WAS DESIGNED WITH ONE PRIMARY FOCUS.
PROVIDENCE SAYS THE NEW FACILITY IS BOTH CONVENIENT
VISITS TO THE URGENT CARE IS LESS COSTLY THAN EMERGENCY
AS WELL AS OUTPATIENT SURGERY VERSE PROCEDURES DONE
IN THE HOSPITAL.
The vision for this building was that we could provide
all services, in one place.
So we have family medicine and internal medicine,
and if they need to see a specialist, we have specialty
THE NEW MEDICAL PARK WILL MEET ALMOST EVERY NEED OF
INCLUDING AN IN HOUSE PHARMACY AND A COFFEE SHOP.
People who live in the Valley don't want to leave
the Valley for their care.
So that's one reason we decided to build here.
50% of the Valley population goes to our hospitals,
but we didn't have a large ambulance presence.
TARCON SAYS THIS FACILITY
WAS DESIGNED A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY.
WITH THE HELP OF PROVIDENCE DOCTORS AND STAFF WHO
WORK IN THE VALLEY.
Those physicians know the community very well and
they know what the patience need so we worked closely
with them when we looked at what to put in the Valley.
AND PEOPLE ARE ALREADY
STARTING TO RESPOND WITH APPRECIATION
FOR THE HOSPITALS NEW MOVE TO SPOKANE VALLEY.
People are very excited that we are out here.
And just today people have said it's a beautiful facility.
And actually some of our physicians and staff said
they want to move out here, so very positive response.
THE CLINIC WILL START ACCEPTING PATIENTS ON APRIL
28TH FOR URGENT CARE.
ALL OTHER SPECIALTIES.
INCLUDING OUTPATIENT SURGERY...ARE EXPECTED TO BE
OPEN BY THE END OF AUGUST.
