IT'S A MUDDY MESS ON MAIN STREET IN COLFAX, WASHINGTON.

warm temperatures, everything just aligned and we
had a lot of runoff, more than the storm system could
WITH BROOMS AND SHOVELS IN HAND.
CREWS WORKED QUICKLY TO CLEAN UP THE MESS.
SANDBAGS WERE USED AROUND THE LOCAL STOREFRONTS TO
PREVENT WATER FROM GETTING IN.
BUT DESPITE THE HELP FROM THE SANDBAGS, WATER STILL
FLOODED SEVERAL BASEMENTS.

saint helens sludge, it's hard to shovel, it's like
