Controversy is brewing over a cross being put up in the new World Trade Center museum.

A group of atheists is appealing a ruling that would allow a cross to be displayed on the government funded land.

It's called the miracle cross, formed by two beams from the World Trade Center.

Atheists filed suit in 2011 to prevent it from happening, but lost the fight.

Yesterday, lawyers for the American Atheist group proposed a plaque be included that would read, "atheists died here too."

But attorneys supporting the installation of the cross, say museums don't censor history and that the cross represents that history.

Should the cross be displayed?
