A Colorado man, rescued from his submerged car, says he's going to sue his rescuers for half a million dollars.
Roy Ortiz admits he's lucky he's alive, but he claims Bloomfield County should have closed the road he was on last September when he hit part of a washout and plunged into a creek.
He says the road is notoriously dangerous during rainy seasons. He's also including the first responders in his suit, saying they didn't realize he was still in the car at first and took too long to get him out.
The fire department there has no comment.
Since the accident, Ortiz has racked up $40,000 in medical bills and still has shoulder issues and trouble sleeping, including a recurring dream of shivering to death.
Do you think he has a case?
