Sound Off for November 29th: Has the economy changed how much you donate to charity?
The Federal Reserve says that the economy has been moving along at a measured pace in recent weeks and hiring has remained modest.
But the numbers did little to calm concerns about slow growth and high unemployment.
The U.S. jobless rate rose slightly to 7.9 percent in October.
The November employment report will be released next week.
Consumer spending, which accounts for 70 percent of economic activity, also grew at a moderate pace in most districts.
Despite the slow growth, a survey by Razoo says half of Americans will donate to charity this holiday season.
Do you plan to give, no matter your financial situation?
Or are you so strapped for cash, are you putting the brakes on giving?
