Sound Off for November 14th: What are your thoughts on the secession petitions?
From New Jersey to Oregon, people living in all 50 states have filed petitions to secede from the United States.
Tens of thousands of people, unhappy with the federal government, are logging on to the White House website to tell them they don't want to be a part of the Union any more.
The petitions, state the economy is suffering because of the Administration's neglect of domestic and foreign spending.
Observers say it's all because of the polarizing and relatively close election.
There's just one problem with asking for secession, it's not likely to happen.
Since South Carolina's bid at seceding from the Union in 1860, there's been a 100% failure rate.
The White House says it reviews all petitions on its website with more than 25-thousand signatures and responds to them, as well.
Do you feel this is just a case of sour grapes for those who didn't want Obama to win or do you feel there's something to this?
