Sound Off for February 18th: Do you support Chief Straub's crackdown on The Knitting Factory?
Spokane Police say four people were shot in two downtown incidents early this morning.
Both cases were connected and appear to be gang related.
Two people were shot at the Knitting Factory at First and Monroe just after 2 a.m.
And while responding to that call, police hear two more people had been shot at the intersection of Nora and Maple.
This is the 4th shooting connected to the Knitting Factory this year alone and police say they've responded to numerous other calls there.
In response to that, Chief Frank Straub announced he was shutting down the concert venue.
The business has 20 days to appeal the closure.
Straub says it's his hope this will get the Knitting Factory to work with police to clamp down on violence.
Are you pleased with his decision to get tough on crime? Or do you feel there is another way to do it?
