Visitors will be able to swim in a tank of sharks in a new attraction at the Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium in Tacoma.
The zoo hopes the "Eye-toEye Shark Dive" opening Friday will help conservation efforts for sharks.
The News Tribune reports nearly 400 people have already made reservations to dive into the 240,000-gallon tank with 17 sharks and dozens of other fish.
There will be four dives a day with up to four people in each. Divers have a choice of going in a shark cage or a scuba dive. The cage dive costs $50 dollars for zoo members and the scuba dive $160. The zoo provides equipment, dive supervisors and a souvenir towel.
