A Washington state woman charged with prostitution after a raid at a spa in Montana has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge, was given a six-month suspended sentence and fined $500.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports 52-year-old Yu-Sun Gasperi of Auburn, Wash., told District Judge John Brown that she performed sex for money. She spoke Wednesday through a Korean translator.
Gasperi was one of three women arrested in late July when Gallatin County deputies raided VIP Spa and Beijing Spa in Belgrade. Both remain closed.
Court records say 70-year-old Ok Nana Tenette of Berkeley, Calif., is scheduled to change her plea on Sept. 26. Jihong Yu of Belgrade also is charged.
Prosecutors say the plea agreement was struck in part to keep the confidential informant's identity private for future use.
