A Hamilton woman is being charged with giving methadone to a man who died of an apparent overdose last week.
The Ravalli Republic reports 28-year-old Erica Ann Cummings appeared before Ravalli County Justice of the Peace Jim Bailey on two counts of felony distribution of dangerous drugs.
She was arrested following the death of a 20-year-old Victor man who consumed alcohol and methadone at a Corvallis residence.
The man's girlfriend identified Cummings as the person who sold and bartered 10 to 12 methadone pills to the man for cash, a marijuana pipe, a backpack and a knife.
Court records say Cummings told authorities she gave the pills to the man.
It was not immediately clear whether she has an attorney.
Bailey set bond at $25,000.
