Hold the phone.
In recent years, when the University of Montana football team made a big play and thousands of people in Washington-Grizzly Stadium decided to text someone about it, the message may or may not have gone through.
The Missoulian reports the university and Verizon Wireless are working to improve cellular service for the 25,000 fans that attend home games.
Verizon spokesman Randy Labeff says the system is quickly overwhelmed when thousands of people try to use their phones at the same time.
The company is raising its antenna on the university's heating plant by 20 feet to eliminate a blockage and installing a 4G wireless system to replace the old 3G technology.
The stadium also has service from an antenna in downtown Missoula. Labeff says they hope to add more capacity.
