A Vancouver man who agreed to meet with a teen for sex at a motel room but was instead robbed by the girl and her friends at gunpoint has been ordered to serve 26 days on a work crew.

The Columbian reports that 31-year-old Alvino Soto-Arriaga was sentenced Thursday after pleading guilty to patronizing a prostitute.

Court documents say the group stole $1,000 in cash and a credit card from Soto-Arriaga during an armed robbery in May 2015.

The robbers included two teen girls, ages 16 and 17, and two men, who were 19 and 21.

They all pleaded guilty in the case.

Soto-Arriaga said during his sentencing Thursday that he thought the 17-year-old girl was of legal age and that he never should have met up with her.
