A University of Montana basketball player has pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct in a fight outside a Missoula bar.
Keron DeShields entered his plea Monday in Missoula Municipal Court.
The sophomore guard and graduating teammate Will Cherry face charges related to the fight that happened around 2 a.m. Saturday outside the Stockman's Bar.
The Missoulian reports Cherry, who also faces a resisting arrest charge, postponed his court appearance until next week.
A 34-year-old man also was arrested. Jason Shawn Snyder was charged with disorderly conduct and drug possession.
A prosecutor's affidavit says DeShields told police Cherry had been "jumped" and that Cherry was being held back as he tried to get to Snyder.
The affidavit says Cherry yanked his arm away from an officer and cursed at him. Police used a stun gun when he refused to be handcuffed.
