A jury found a Twin Falls man guilty of his role in the kidnapping and stabbing of a Blackfoot man who was left for dead along a rural road in south-central Idaho.
The Times-News reports Thomas Hooley was convicted Monday of first-degree kidnapping and aiding and abetting an aggravated battery.
During a preliminary hearing, Jason Given testified that Hooley and Ryan Cunningham lured him to an old winery near Wendell and shocked him with a stun gun, tied his hands with zip ties, cut his throat and left him for dead. He said he was able to get to the road, where the first person to come by was an emergency medical technician.
Hooley is scheduled to be sentenced on Sept. 30.
Cunningham is serving a four to 15-year sentence for felony aggravated battery.
