Seattle police say a 25-year-old man in a stolen car crashed into another vehicle with a family of four inside.

Police say that a man in south Seattle was warming up his car when another man jumped inside. The car owner left a gun inside the vehicle and the suspect found it, threatening the car owner with the weapon. Soon after a police cruiser began following the suspect and that's when he crossed into an intersection and crashed into another vehicle.

The father in the car was trapped inside. A 7-year-old boy was thrown from the car and a 5-year-old girl and a teen girl also suffered serious injuries.

The stolen car suspect was also hurt, but not seriously.
