BOISE, Idaho -

The Idaho State Tax Commission is scrambling to find a new home after being alerted that their Boise building has accepted an offer from St. Luke's Health System.
In total, three state agencies will be forced to move from the MK Center, located in downtown Boise, once the sale is complete.
However, the tax commission's lease expires in June -- which means the state is on the hook for finding new homes for roughly 375 employees in Boise's already crowded real estate in just nine months.
Idaho Department of Administration Director Bob Geddes said Wednesday that the state had been interested in purchasing the building, but he was notified recently that an offer from a large nonprofit had already been accepted.
A St. Luke's spokeswoman declined to disclose purchase price, citing that the offer was still under contract.
