The Lewis County sheriff's office says crews continue their search for a 5-year-old Tacoma, Washington, boy swept away after he accidentally rode his miniature motorcycle into the fast-flowing Cispus River.
Chief Deputy Stacy Brown says a KIRO-TV helicopter assisted in the search Tuesday.
A visor from the boy's helmet was found caught in a log jam about a mile downstream from where he went into the river on Monday afternoon.
The boy was camping with his family along the river about 10 miles from Randle. Brown says it appears he just got too close to the river bank.
Brown says the boy's 32-year-old father ran to the water and jumped in after his son but was unable to reach him. The father was swept downriver about a half mile before he was able to reach the shore.
