Billings, MT -

A Billings school district administrator has resigned after officials learned electronics had been taken from the school and sold at a pawn shop.

The Billings Gazette reports Dulce Whitford resigned over the weekend as the district's director of Indian Education for All, a state mandated curriculum program that teachers Native American culture and history. She had been with the district since 2009 and was being paid an annual salary of $94,092.

Billings police and school officials began investigations late last week. The district found "small technology" and electronics had gone missing.

District human resources director Jeana Lervick says Whitford was placed on leave last week and has since resigned.
