Campaign websites for Idaho's two candidates running for state schools chief contain nearly the exact same language, but the GOP nominee has so far remained silent on addressing the issue while the her opponent says she had the section up first.
As first reported by Idaho Education News on Wednesday, Democratic candidate Jana Jones says her site was published almost two months before Republican candidate Sherri Ybarra announced her candidacy.
Ybarra and her campaign team have not returned multiple calls or emails from The Associated Press or other news outlets as of Thursday afternoon.
The similar language appears in a 46-word paragraph that contains nearly the exact same wording except for the difference of eight words.
The sites also have identical language where supporters can leave a comment.
