Helena, MT -

Former U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg says he is considering a political comeback with a potential House campaign.

The Republican told Lee Newspapers of Montana Thursday he is keeping his options open and he thinks he has a lot to offer.

Rehberg left the seat he held for six terms after a failed attempt to unseat U.S. Sen. Jon Tester in 2012.

After that, he became a co-chairman of a Washington-based public strategy firm called Mercury Public Affairs and he says he and his wife are opening a Burger King in Billings.

Rehberg says people started contacting him to ask him if he would consider running for his old seat.

Four Republicans have announced their candidacy for the House seat, which U.S. Rep. Steve Daines is vacating to run for Senate.
