The authorities arrested a 53-year-old woman accused of crashing into a Medford police car while eluding officers at a Fred Meyer parking lot.
Medford police Lt. Mike Budreau says officers responded late Tuesday to a report of a woman driving recklessly while making bizarre statements.
The driver failed to stop for officers and hit the police car while leaving the parking lot. Two hours later, an officer spotted the car at a Circle K store and the woman fled again. Police, however, were able to use spike strips to deflate her tires.
Budreau says the woman -- identified as Lauri Lee Story of Tracy, Calif. -- was highly agitated and officers used a Taser stun gun to take her into custody.
Story is charged with disorderly conduct, hit and run, reckless driving, reckless endangering and attempting to elude police.
