Medical marijuana moms demonstrate in Medford
A group called Moms for Marijuana planned a demonstration Tuesday afternoon on the Jackson County Courthouse steps in Medford.
An organizer, 31-year-old Lindsey Rinehart, uses medical marijuana to help reduce the symptoms of multiple sclerosis.
Rinehart told the Mail Tribune she lost custody of her children for 17 days earlier this year when she lived in Idaho because of her marijuana.
She moved to Oregon looking for a more marijuana-friendly environment. But the Medford City Council says it will rely on federal anti-marijuana law to ban medical marijuana dispensaries.
