Cave Junction, OR -

Rescuers have pulled a man out of a ravine in Southern Oregon where he lay for two days.

Illinois Valley Fire Chief Dennis Hoke told the Grants Pass Daily Courier that the man was severely dehydrated when rescuers reached him Wednesday, and he was being put on a helicopter to fly him to a hospital.

Hoke says the man rolled about 300 feet down a steep slope near a remote road outside Cave Junction.

The man was conscious and talking when rescuers reached him, but may have suffered back and neck injuries. His name was not immediately available.
