BOISE, Idaho -

A man convicted of arson for burning two churches in southwestern Idaho has been sentenced to 25 years in prison.

The Idaho Statesman reports 45-year-old William Charles Dorahush Jr. will have to serve at least five years of his sentence before he is eligible for parole.

Prosecutors said Dorahush took part in the arson fires that destroyed the First Baptist Church and Community Bible Church in Emmett. Gem County Prosecutor Richard Linville says damage to one building is estimated at $1 million and the other one will likely be about the same.

Another suspect, 41-year-old Bradley Ryan Thomasson, has also been charged with arson in the case, but he is currently serving time on a parole violation stemming from the 1989 murder of his adoptive parents.
