GRANGEVILLE, Idaho -

A central Idaho woman has been arrested in the death of another woman.

The Lewiston Tribune reports 27-year-old Tara Rose Mendenhall of Kooskia was arrested Thursday and booked into the Idaho County jail on suspicion of second-degree murder in the death of a 44-year-old Lora K. Vandenburg of Elk City.

Mendenhall is accused of being involved in a physical altercation with Vandenburg in Elk City on Sept. 24. The sheriff's office says Vandenburg at a Lewiston hospital on Saturday.

An autopsy determined Vandenburg died of bleeding in her brain.

The court file in the case remained sealed Friday morning.
