POCATELLO, Idaho -

Authorities in southeast Idaho say a fog machine set off a fire alarm causing the evacuation of 550 children from Indian Hills Elementary School in Pocatello.

School officials tell the Idaho State Journal that the alarm at about 1 p.m. Thursday sent students outside for about 10 minutes before they were allowed back in.

Principal Lori Carney says the alarm turned out to be a good fire drill practice and everyone did an excellent job evacuating.
