KENT, Wash. -

A 50-year-old Des Moines man has been sentenced to 30 years in prison for a beating the left his girlfriend with five broken bones in her face.

Roosevelt Reed was convicted in September of domestic violence assault for the September 2012 attack and sentenced Friday at the Regional Justice Center in Kent.

The Seattle Times reports the attack came just five months after Reed finished serving about 13 years in prison for crushing another former girlfriend's skull with a cinderblock.

Court records show he was also convicted before that of stabbing another girlfriend in the leg.
