U.S. Rep. Steve Daines is holding a statewide conference call to discuss potential military action in Syria.
The Republican says nearly 100,000 Montana households will be called and asked to join Monday's conference call.
Daines said he will discuss information learned that day in a closed-door meeting that lawmakers held with administration officials. And he will seek to better gauge Montanans' support of potential military action.
The Obama administration has been lobbying lawmakers to support a plan for a retaliatory military strike against Syria, blamed for a deadly chemical weapons attack last month.
Many lawmakers have been expressing concern about public opposition to another military engagement.
Daines' office says it expects the conference call to last about an hour. People can sign up for the call at his congressional website.
