LA CENTER, Wash. -

The owner of Curly the camel says he seems to sense it's the Christmas season and he's excited to parade and perform in church pageants.

Curly and his stable mate Danny the donkey will walk through downtown Longview Saturday with the Christmas parade. They also have roles next week in the "Journey to Bethlehem" pageant at the Kelso-Longview Seventh-day Adventist Church, along with seven horned sheep also owned by Jeff Siebert who lives near LaCenter.

Siebert says Curly is the star attraction in his pasture. People stop to see the 7-year dromedary -- one hump -- camel that stands over 7 feet tall. He gets his name from his curly hair, which has been made into a cap and scarf that Siebert likes to wear.
