BOISE, Idaho -

Idaho Fish and Game officials say they will release chinook salmon into the Boise River to give anglers more opportunities to catch the state's prized fish.

The Idaho Statesman reports that the fish will be released at the Glenwood Bridge, Americana Bridge and Barber Park on Wednesday.

Any angler with a valid fishing license and salmon permit may harvest chinook salmon from the Boise river.

Anglers will be allowed to keep two chinook salmon per day but the possession limit is six.
