RIGGINS, Wash. -

One child was taken to the hospital after a bus crashed in Riggins, Idaho Thursday.

According to Idaho State Patrol, the bus was being driven by 66-year-old Larry Barnard.

He was heading east on W Seven Devils Rd. when he was distracted by a child, ISP says. When he looked back he drifted to the left, then corrected to the right.

ISP says Barnard's right tires went off the road onto the embankment. The bus then rolled onto its side.

There was seven children on the bus. One child was transported to the hospital by ambulence.

Barnard was cited for inattentive driving.
