OKANOGAN, Wash. -

Authorities say the body of a 25-year-old Omak, Wash., man who vanished while swimming in the Okanogan River has been recovered.

The Wenatchee World reports that Roy Herriman disappeared June 23. His body was found Sunday on a small island in the river about seven miles downstream from where he was last seen.

A friend said Herriman was swept into a log jam north of Omak.
