A school official accused of selling school property on eBay pleaded not guilty Thursday in Benton County Superior Court.

Trial was set for Oct. 7 for Mark S. Noyes. Prosecutors say he used his position as maintenance and operations manager for the Kiona-Benton School District to sell school equipment and property.

The Tri-City Herald reports the 48-year-old Benton City man is free awaiting his next court appearance.

Noyes is charged with trafficking in stolen property. Court documents say the property included a camera he sold for $35. He tried to sell a ream of paper, which failed to draw a buyer.
