A seven-year-old boy who suffered serious head injuries was airlifted to a Montana hospital after an all-terrain vehicle crash that authorities say was alcohol-related.
The Great Falls Tribune reports the boy was in critical but stable condition and was admitted to surgery Sunday.
The youngster's older brother, whose age wasn't given, and the adult who was piloting the ATV were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
The crash happened near Monarch in Cascade County.
Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Sam Goodemoot says alcohol was involved in the crash and charges against the adult driver are "more than likely." The report was submitted to the Cascade County Attorney's Office.
The ATV went off the road and hit a tree, ejecting its three riders before coming to rest in a deep ditch.
