Grant County authorities are currently searching the Columbia River for a man who jumped into the river Sunday afternoon.

The man jumped into the river around 2:45 and has not been seen since.

Deputies and Grant County District 8 were called to the river to search for the man.

Reports say an adult male from out of the area was doing some type of recreational diving and did not resurface.

Grant County Marine Unit Deputies are assisted by the SARBOT remote controlled underwater search robot owned by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
