A Washington state man charged with driving the getaway car during an attempted robbery in southwestern Montana last month has pleaded not guilty to robbery by accountability.
The Bozeman Daily Chronicle reports District Judge Mike Salvagni continued Joshua Norman Bolton's bail at $150,000 on Monday.
Bolton, of Spokane, and co-defendant Kenneth Michael Lohman of Auburn, Wash., are charged with trying to snatch a woman's purse in a Belgrade grocery store parking lot.
Prosecutors allege Lohman grabbed the woman's purse and that Bolton sped off with the woman's arm still inside the vehicle as she tried to retrieve her purse.
A Montana Highway Patrol trooper's attempt to stop the vehicle near Three Forks resulted in a high-speed chase that ended near Cardwell.
Lohman is charged with robbery.
