MISSOULA, Mont. -

Five-year-old Eli Gamble of Seattle lost his older brother in a head-on crash on Interstate 90 in western Montana. His family is now asking for help finding a dog that fled the crash.

The boys' grandfather, Kell Houston of Las Vegas, says Bella, a black dog with pointy ears, is very precious to Eli. Area residents planned searches on Tuesday and set up a Facebook page titled Finding Bella Dog.

Houston says driver Dan Klabunde suffered a fractured pelvis, a broken femur and ribs and damaged vertebrae in the crash near Clinton early Sunday that killed 8-year-old Jacob Gamble. Klabunde was listed in serious condition in a Seattle hospital Monday.

The crash also killed 33-year-old Daniel Martin of Missoula, who investigators say was driving a stolen pickup truck the wrong way on the interstate.
