Police: Threats phoned to 17 Oregon courthouses
Authorities say courthouses in 17 Oregon counties have received bomb threats following similar incidents recently in other states.
Oregon State Police officials they don't know of any suspicious packages found following the threats on Monday, and the State Police bomb squad did not respond.
Authorities say about eight bomb threats were reported in Washington on Nov. 15 and about nine were reported in Nebraska on Nov. 2.
The calls began about 2:30 p.m. and continued for an hour. Police say some of the courthouses were evacuated. A Salem office building housing the State Police headquarters also received a threat and was evacuated.
