Authorities have released the name of the pilot who was seriously injured when his small airplane crashed in western Idaho.
The Idaho Statesman reports 38-year-old Les Gropp was listed in serious condition Monday at a Boise hospital after the crash Saturday in Valley County. According to Valley County Sheriff's Lt. Daniel Smith, Gropp's injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening.
The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the Bear Valley area of the county, or about 100 miles north of Boise. Gropp's co-pilot, 41-year-old Nathan Williams, was also taken to the hospital after the crash but he treated and released that same day.
Authorities say two other people aboard didn't require medical attention.
National Transportation Safety Board officials were expected to arrive Monday in Valley County to investigate.
