TACOMA, Wash. -

A man who bought a wooden box for $2.99 at a Goodwill store in Puyallup found it contained what appear to be cremated human remains.

A Tacoma crematory has offered to scatter the remains, but Gerry Sperry would like to find family members who may claim them.

Sperry told The News Tribune (http://bit.ly/1kCabrn ) he hopes they recognize a photo of the box.

A Goodwill spokesman says it was not aware the box contained ashes.
