GREAT FALLS, Mont. -

A 17-year-old Malta boy was killed in a single vehicle crash west of Saco.

The Montana Highway Patrol says the van the boy was riding in drifted off Secondary Highway 243 at about 12:15 a.m. Tuesday. The driver overcorrected, causing the van to go off the road and roll several times.

The Great Falls Tribune reports that Riley Baublitz died at the scene.

The patrol says neither the boy nor the driver, 22-year-old Antonio Cuesta Jr. of Walden, New York, were wearing seat belts. Officials did not know the extent of Cuesta's injuries.
