Seattle police say an armed man was shot and killed by officers after he fired at them Saturday night.

The police department says officers responded to calls of shots fired in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, the man was still outside a house with his weapon in sight and rifle-trained officers took positions. The man went inside the home, but came back outside moments later and opened fire. Officers fired back, wounding the man.

According to police, the wounded man crawled back inside. A SWAT team robot entered the home later on and found the man dead.

Inside the home, officers found body armor and multiple fire-arms, including semi-automatic rifles and shotguns, near the front door.

No other injuries were reported.

Police say it's unclear what the man was shooting at before police arrived.
