POST FALLS, Idaho -

If you haven't visited Prairie Falls Golf Course in Post Falls in a while, it's under new ownership, the course is being improved and now is a great time to check it out.

The new owner, Billy Bomar, calls the course a hidden gem. He officially took over as the owner this month.

"I came down here in November, took a look at the golf course and just kind of fell in love with it," he said.

A native Alaskan, Bomar is new to the area, but he's no stranger to the game of golf. He's been a pro his whole adult life and always dreamed of owning his own course.

"It's just a beautiful area here in Post Falls, the golf course is just playable for all levels, I mean it has got great greens, it has a lot of angulation on the back nine, a lot of character, to them it's just a fun place to play," he said.

On his staff is Bryce Bingham, who played golf here as a kid. He's been the pro at Prairie Falls for the last three years and is looking forward to what Bomar brings to the table as the course's new owner.

"Billy brings a lot to the table. He knows everything about the golf business that you need to know, he does the right things and he wants to make this place what a golf course should be," Bingham said.

The course is a family friendly environment and one that everyone can play on.
