The Idaho Department of Environmental Quality has filed a lawsuit against a northern Idaho trailer park contending the owner is violating wastewater and drinking water requirements.
The Lewiston Tribune reports in a story on Thursday that the state agency filed the 15-count civil complaint in 2nd District Court against Syringa Mobile Home Park.
The agency says the Moscow trailer park owned by Magar E. Magar isn't providing adequate water pressure and isn't complying with testing and reporting requirements involving the presence of coliform bacteria, chlorine and lead in the water.
The agency is seeking an injunction to bring the trailer park into compliance.
It's asking the court to assess Magar with $10,000 in penalties for each violation and $1,000 a day for continued violations.
