The KXLY annual Toy Test
The holiday shopping season is upon us, which means kids across the country are making that all important Christmas list.
We might not be able to send kids to the North Pole but KXLY4 has a long standing tradition of keeping parents informed during the holidays with our annual Toy Test, where kids test out the newest toys and tells us what's hot and what's not!
This year we teamed up with Figpickels Toy Emporium in Coeur d'Alene with a new tradition at the Coeur d'Alene Resort.
"It's just amazing because as soon as you enter your essay you are thinking ... it's one and a million chances of winning, but when it actually happens you are really excited," toy tester Jakob Peterson said.
From science toys to action ones, there was something for everybody to test.
"I mean this is the best job ever," Jakob added.
Jakob's comrades would agree. 11-year-old Kimmy Stearns is the liveliest one in the bunch. Loveable Brock Due is the youngest one. Sisters Amy and Megan Corette are the sweet sibling pair.
"I got to share that enjoyment with her too so that was also fun," Megan said.
"Santa is smiling down here. He is happy he is learning too," Brett Sommer said.
This isn't just for Santa; parents are learning too. Be sure to tune in Tuesday night at 6 p.m. to learn which toys rocked and which toys flopped.
