Search and rescue are working through Thursday night to find a missing 22-year-old man from Kellogg, Idaho who hasn't been seen since Sunday.
Volunteers searchers have been working around the clock to find Jesse Kagarise; on Thursday their efforts focused in the area around Silver Mountain in a ten by ten square mile area.
"We are going to keep going out and do everything we can to find him," Shoshone County Deputy Jeremy Groves said.
"He said that he wanted to go live in the woods. That he wasn't comfortable living in society, couldn't relate to people," Jacob said.
"It was scary; I didn't know what to do."
Now it's been five days, and the only time he was spotted was Monday on Kellogg Peak when Jesse stopped to talk to some Silver Mountain resort employees.
"They asked if he was hunting. He just kind of stood there for a moment of silence and then wandered off," Deputy Groves said.
Search and Rescue crews are dealing with rough terrain and using ATVs to get around the heavily wooded area, looking for any sign of Jesse.
"It's hunting season now, so you got people running around elk hunting, deer hunting that's good, they are another source of eyes," Deputy Groves said.
Jesse's family said he isn't a skilled survivalist but they're staying positive that he will be found safe and sound.
"Just trying to stay hopeful," Jacob Kagarise said.
Jesse is six feet tall and weights about 130 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a dark grey sweatshirt, blue jeans and a white beanie.
If you have any information that can help find him, call the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office at (208) 556 1114.
